The Duke Energy Scholars program
was established to provide
scholarships for the children of
our employees and retirees.
The program provides 15
scholarships of up to $5,000
each (USD) per year and may be
awarded for up to four
consecutive years, with a
maximum of $20,000 (USD). The
scholarship is for undergraduate
study at accredited, two-year
technical schools or community
colleges and/or four-year
colleges or universities in the
U.S. and Canada.
The scholarships are merit-based
with consideration given to
academics, personal references,
community service and
demonstrated financial need. In
addition to the 15 annual
winners of the four-year
scholarships, we select five (5)
alternates to receive one-time,
$1,000 (USD) scholarships. If
any of the 15 winners declines
his/her scholarship prior to the
acceptance deadline, alternates
become eligible to receive a
four-year scholarship.
The All-Ink.com College
Scholarship Program is available
to students who are enrolled or
planning to enroll in an
accredited college or university
with a minimum 2.5 GPA. You must
be a U.S. citizen or permanent
resident to be considered for
this award. To apply for this
scholarship, you must submit a
50- to 200-word essay on who has
had the greatest impact on your
life, and a 50- to 200-word
essay on what you hope to
achieve in your personal and
professional life after college.
